Another major project that I initiated, designed and built was a very sophisticated ROI application to track
the actual Return on Investment dollars spent toward advertising over the internet.
This application actually
tracked users who came from one, or multiple banners, and even closed their internet sessions. The application
tracked the users from first contact, through loan funding, and from there could track users through mortgage
loan repayment, thus ROI.
Additionally the application provided the raw information to track which ISP users
were coming from, and even the length of time taken for users to make this first contact through loan
application completion.
Three final interrelated features have to do with a single string made up of 8
characters. The characters, designed to go into a hexadecimal numbering system, identify which particular
banner is being selected, in which particular position, and through which advertising provider.
The reports were generated on asp pages that provided the requestor with daily, weekly, monthly reports, which included
an image of each banner, a location description and the vendor that was providing the exposure.
Reports could also be generated by Crystal Reports or other report generating tool.
